Meet Caroline

Caroline Sanders Clements is the associate editor at Garden & Gun, an award-winning Southern lifestyle magazine based in Charleston, South Carolina. Throughout her work, Caroline loves talking to interesting people and telling their stories; the list of subjects she’s interviewed includes artists, architects, historians, musicians, craftspeople, tomato farmers, James Beard award-winners, television producers, professional golfers, and one mixed martial artist.

She grew up in Athens, Georgia, where she developed a love of the South’s food, music, literature, and culture (and the Georgia Bulldogs). After studying English, journalism, and creative writing at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, Caroline settled in Charleston, where—when she’s not writing—she enjoys exploring the Lowcountry with her husband, Sam.
